Third-year head coach Dave Clawson has Wake Forest sitting at 5-3 to match its highest win total since 2012. The Demon Deacons have lost three of four since earning a solid nonconference road win against Indiana, although they did play Florida State tough on October 15.

Wake Forest’s success stems from a stingy defense that is allowing just 18.2 points per game to rank 15th in the FBS. Redshirt freshman cornerback Jessie Bates is a rising young star with four interceptions, while Duke Ejiofor has racked up 7.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss to anchor the defensive line. The offense has been a different story, as Wake Forest is putting up just 20.6 points per contest.

Bronco Mendenhall has a lot of work to do, as his tenure at Virginia is off to a 2-6 start. The Cavaliers came close to earning a signature upset over Louisville last Saturday before Lamar Jackson worked some magic in the dying seconds of a 32-25 loss.

Virginia does have some talent left over from Mike London’s recruiting classes and is coming along slowly on the offensive end. East Carolina quarterback transfer Kurt Benkert has shown flashes of ability with nearly 2,100 yards and 17 touchdowns to nine interceptions. The Cavaliers have one of the worst scoring defenses in the FBS but were able to take away a few positives from the loss to the Cardinals.

Who do you think emerges victorious in this ACC clash?

The North Carolina Tar Heels face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Kenan Stadium in Week 10 of college football. Here’s how to watch the game online.

Just one year ago, the North Carolina Tar Heels found themselves in the ACC Championship Game against the Clemson Tigers. Even after losing key players this offseason, they have hopes and a great chance of getting there once again. However, they’re going to have to stay rolling, which will include toppling the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday at Kenan Stadium.

For the Tar Heels, quarterback Mitch Trubisky might be one of the most rapidly rising stars in the country. In his first full year as a starter, he’s shown flashes of true greatness and is the heart of the North Carolina offense. The junior quarterback will need to avoid mistakes and also make plays downfield with his cannon of an arm to put the Yellow Jackets in a tough spot early.

Georgia Tech has gone 5-0 out of the ACC this year, but just 2-3 when playing conference opponents. Justin Thomas still leads the way in the triple option at quarterback, but he’ll need to attack North Carolina through the air in addition to on the ground to keep them on their heels on Saturday.

This matchup will be broadcast on ACC Network, which is nationally only available online. You can access the live stream, though, via WatchESPN. Log in either online or through the ESPN app using a cable or satellite subscription to get the stream rolling.

North Carolina finds themselves in a good spot to win the ACC Coastal right now. The key to that happening, though, is avoiding slip-ups against teams exactly like Georgia Tech. We’ll see if they can accomplish that on Saturday.
